Kunstfest Weimar 2024
Sister Lin-Tou
“Das Fremde verströmt eine aparte Anziehungskraft.”
At Kunstfest Weimar 2024, we had the unique opportunity to contribute to the avant-garde mixed-reality performance Sister Lin-Tou, blending virtual reality with live dance. The project, based on Taiwanese folklore, showcased how technology can enhance artistic expression without overshadowing the raw human experience.
In this collaboration, we ensured the seamless integration of VR and live performance by developing a synchronized 360° video player for 15 co-located users. This software provided an immersive virtual experience that smoothly transitioned into a physical dance performance. By coordinating the technical aspects of the show, we helped the audience move effortlessly between the virtual and real worlds, enabling a deeply expressive and intimate experience.
